Supporting our Mission
Oklahoma City Republican Women’s Club primary goals are:
- to promote an informed electorate through political education
- to increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government through active political participation
- to facilitate cooperation among Oklahoma County Republican Women’s clubs
- to foster loyalty to the Republican party and to promote its ideals, and
- to work for the election of Republican Candidates.
Accomplishments
- Celebrated our 100th year in 2020 as one of the fastest growing Republican women’s clubs in the nation
- Grew our club membership over 300% even with the pandemic hardships in 2020
- Never canceled a general meeting or a board meeting throughout 2020 even with COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions. We met digitally a few months, but did not cancel one meeting.
- Political activism: stilettos (and boots) on the ground holding the line of the Republican values at –
- Board of County Commissioner meetings
- City Council meetings
- Legislative sessions at the Capitol (holding our legislators accountable)
- State Board of Education meetings
- Share legislation to educate members and take action writing/calling legislators
- Award annual scholarships to two non-traditional female students.
- Sponsor Republican candidates and support their campaign efforts
- Hold one of the largest candidate fairs in Oklahoma
- Donate dollars to Republican candidates
- Serve as volunteers for OKGOP
- Encourage members to attend and join other Republican organizations
- Hold annual membership initiative at the Governor’s Mansion
- Support our troops through our Hugs for Mugs program
- Host Community Outreach programs on topics that bridge bi-partisan issues
- Band together with like organizations who are conservative Republicans like OCPAC, OCPA, OK2A and OKHPR
