OKCRWC SEPTEMBER MEETING: LEGISLATION 101

Meetings are open to OKCRWC members and their invited guests. Please text or call the club at 405-397-4257 to RSVP. We serve complimentary muffins, coffee and tea at each meeting. Networking starts at 10:30AM and our program kicks off at 11AM.
For this meeting, we will host a panel of seasoned legislators from each chamber. Senator Shane Jett and Representative Eric Roberts moderated by former Rep. Sherrie Conley (our 1st VP) will present LEGISLATION 101: How an idea becomes a bill plus all of the jargon that goes along with that. Sometimes we’re in the dark about what renaming a bill means. They can explain that. What does it mean when the bill dies in Committee. They can explain that. When you leave, even if you have been in politics a long time, you will learn something new.
