Bring materials to distribute on tables and you will likely be able to speak at the end. \n\nTHANK YOU TO SHANNON & DAVID HILL FOR SPONSORING THIS EVENT \n10:00AM to 1:00 p.m. Candidate Fair (Please arrive by 9:30AM). Candidates please arrive by 8:30AM and read protocol instructions here. \nWe are going old school with an old-fashioned Candidate Fair reminiscent of a State Fair. We’ll have fair foods like hot dogs\, Indian tacos\, waffle fries\, popcorn\, cotton candy\, donut holes\, lemonade and more! $25 for a food ticket (otherwise admission is free). We will have long tables set up where you can sit\, eat (if you purchase food ticket) and listen to the candidates. Dress casually as if you are attending a fair! \nWe’ll have photo booth and live music. Katie & Ryan Walters along with their family will be performing the opening ceremonies. \nCandidates who sign up to speak by the deadline (March 29\, 2024)\, will be speaking on a set schedule. Networking starts at 10:30AM and program kicks off at 11AM. \nJUDICIAL REFORM: WHY IT IS CRITICAL FOR OKLAHOMA\nLearn how we appoint judges and why it’s not working. We’ll look at two issues: \n\nNo judicial officer has ever been voted out in a retention election\, so they effectively serve terms for life. \nThe critical need to repeal Oklahoma’s Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC).  Politics should not be dominated by progressive trial lawyers but rather the people’s elected officials.\n\n\nRyan Haynie\nCriminal Justice Reform Fellow\n\n\nRyan Haynie serves as the Criminal Justice Reform Fellow for the Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs. Prior to joining OCPA\, he practiced law in Oklahoma City. His work included representing the criminally accused in state and federal courts. Ryan is active in the Federalist Society\, serving as the Programming Director for the Oklahoma City Lawyer’s Chapter. He holds a B.B.A. from the University of Oklahoma and a J.D. from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. He and his wife\, Jaclyn\, live in Oklahoma City with their three children. \n\n  \n  \n  \n

How is Oklahoma preparing for this attack and what can Oklahomans do to protect themselves? If you have not seen the video circulating from a Sheriff in Ohio recapping what they were told\, watch it below now. \n \n Sheriff Johnson is the Region 2 Representative for Border Security and will be hosting the June 2024 National Sheriff’s Association in OKC. We have no better authority than our Sheriff. \nIn addition to Sheriff Johnson\, GOP CD-5 Vice Chairman\, Casey Wooley\, will give a rundown on his emergency preparedness. He is the author of SB 1679 “Emergency management; stating role and authority of government during emergencies”.  \n  \n  \n

We’ll have complimentary muffins\, coffee and tea. \nABOUT ROBERT C\, O’BRIEN \nAmbassador Robert C. O’Brien (ret.) is the co-founder and chairman of American Global Strategies LLC. He was the 27th United States National Security Advisor from 2019 – 2021\, and served as the President’s principal advisor on all aspects of American foreign policy and national security affairs.​ \nDuring O’Brien’s time as National Security Advisor\, the United States orchestrated the historic Abraham Accords in the Middle East\, brokered economic normalization between Serbia and Kosovo\, achieved significant defense spending increases among our NATO allies and increased cooperation with America’s allies across the Indo-Pacific. Prior to serving as NSA\, O’Brien was the Special Presidential Envoy for Hostage Affairs with the personal rank of Ambassador. He was directly involved in the return of over 25 detainees and hostages to the United States. \nO’Brien is the recipient of the National Security Medal\, the National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal\, the Department of Defense Medal for Distinguished Public Service\, the National Defense Medal\, the Legion d’honneur (chevalier)\, the Republic of China (Taiwan) Order of the Brilliant Star with Special Grand Cordon and the Kosovo Presidential Medal of Merits.​ Over his career\, he has served as counsel and arbitrator in dozens of International proceedings.​ O’Brien holds a J.D. from the U.C. She speaks four languages and is a former President of Park Cities Republican Women’s Club (where our President\, Audrey Harrah\, formerly served as an officer). In Leyla’s free time\, she volunteers for Daughters of the American Revolution and serves as a board member for Boots for Warriors\, an organization that gifts custom\, hand-crafted cowboy boots for wounded warriors and first responders. \nComplimentary mini muffins\, coffee & tea and networking at 10:30AM\, meeting starts promptly at 11AM. \nMeetings are open to OKCRWC members and their invited guests.
