SUMMARY:LARA LOGAN America vs Socialism
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an incredible evening with award-winning journalist\, Lara Logan. This event is open to members and their invited guests. Members $75 and Non-members $95. Make reservations early. Room capacity is 300. \nhttps://unitedtalent.app.box.com/v/LaraLoganReel \n \nAbout Lara Logan \nLara Logan’s candid  reporting\, often from the most dangerous places in the world\, has earned her a prominent place among the world’s best foreign correspondents. \nIn her role at 60 Minutes\, Logan helped us understand the political and human conflicts around the world\, including Pakistan\, Iraq\, Afghanistan\, Israel and Palestine\, and Egypt. \nCommitted to the story\, she lived in Iraq for five years at the height of the violence. She was one of the few journalists in Baghdad when the U.S. Military entered the city\, reporting live in the square as the statue of Sadam fell. Logan has earned almost every journalistic and reporting award\, among them are the highly prestigious duPont-Columbia University Silver Baton\, the Overseas Press Club\, the Emmys and the RTNDA/ Edward R. Murrow Award – to name a few. \nHer fearless determination to get the story from its vortex\, no matter how dangerous\, has often put Logan herself in great danger. In Tahrir Square in Egypt\, she came close to death when she was sexually assaulted by a mob while reporting for 60 Minutes on the Arab Spring. \nA journalist who heads straight into hostile places not for spectacle\, but for the sake of our understanding the real issues of our time\, Logan is an insightful interpreter of international current events and a fearless interviewer asking tough questions of today’s most powerful people. \nToday she has a successful long-form\, investigative TV series that takes on significant topics with an open mind and an open heart – the way journalism is supposed to be done. It’s called “Lara Logan Has No Agenda” and is broadcast on Fox Nation. The series has taken her deep into subjects like immigration and the south west border\, socialism\, media\, veterans and so on. \nYou will often see Lara on various news programs and prime time Fox shows where she is a sought-after voice to comment on topics ranging from national security to terrorism\, journalism\, foreign affairs and so on.

SUMMARY:David Barton Live
DESCRIPTION:Join the OKGOP for this special night and hear from David Barton\, founder of WallBuilders\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this event\n\n\nDavid Barton is the Founder of WallBuilders\, a national pro-family organization that presents America’s forgotten history and heroes\, with an emphasis on our moral\, religious and constitutional heritage. \nWallBuilders is a name taken from the Old Testament writings of Nehemiah\, who led a grassroots movement to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem and restore its strength and honor. In the same way\, WallBuilders seeks to energize the grassroots today to become involved in strengthening their communities\, states\, and nation. \nDavid is the author of numerous best-selling books\, with the subjects being drawn largely from his massive library of tens of thousands of original writings from the Founding Era. He is a sought-after speaker\, bringing the truth of America’s history to churches\, civic and military groups\, schools and universities\, and community events. David is also a frequent guest on a number of national media programs\, and is a host on a daily radio show\, WallBuilders Live. \nHis exhaustive research has rendered him an expert in historical and constitutional issues and he serves as a consultant to state and federal legislators\, has participated in several cases at the US Supreme Court\, was involved in the development of the History/Social Studies standards for states such as Texas and California\, and has helped produce history textbooks now used in schools across the nation. \nA national news organization has described him as “America’s historian\,” and Time Magazine called him “a hero to millions – including some powerful politicians.” In fact\, Newsmax named him as one of America’s top 100 most influential evangelicals\, and Time Magazine named him as one of America’s Top 25. \nDavid has received numerous national and international awards\, including Who’s Who in Education\, DAR’s Medal of Honor\, and the George Washington Honor Medal from the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge. His work in media has merited several Angel Awards\, Telly Awards\, and the Dove Foundation Seal of Approval. \nDavid and his wife Cheryl reside in Aledo\, Texas\, they have three grown\, married children (Damaris\, Timothy\, and Stephen)\, and five grandchildren.
